About
I'm Ed Rocha — an author, pastor, and teacher passionate about making the depths of Scripture accessible and the reality of God tangible. For nearly three decades I've served Christ's Church as a preacher, shepherd, missionary, and leader across Latin America, Europe, and North America.
I founded the Pier49 church movement in Brazil, planting ten churches and overseeing its worship arm, Pier49 Music, which recorded five albums with Sony Music. For seven years I coordinated mission trips in Brazil alongside Dr. Randy Clark and the Global Awakening network. Today I serve as Lead Pastor of Gateway Church in Arnprior, Ontario, where the congregation has grown from 30 to over 200.
I'm the author of eight books — including Angels, God's Supernatural Agents and Be Healed and Stay Healed — and a certified Christian counsellor with a heart for discipleship and inner healing. My wife Dani and I are raising our family with one conviction at the center: that Christ would be Lord of our home and everything we do.
Teaching & Global Perspective
Beyond ministry, I've spent over a decade in the classroom and a lifetime crossing cultures.
I've taught English as a Second Language for more than ten years, working with students of all ages and backgrounds to help them find their voice in a new language. As a TESOL-certified educator, I love the craft of teaching — making complex ideas clear, engaging, and relevant to real life.
My classroom has always been global. I've lived in England, Iceland, Spain, Canada, and Brazil, and taught and ministered across more than 22 countries on four continents. That lived experience shapes how I teach — with curiosity, cultural awareness, and a genuine heart for people from every background.
